This may be one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. I truly love it. Little Miss feels fabulous in it as well. We had a lot of fun during the photo shoot.
The fit on Violette Field Thread’s Rose is perfect. I love that it has a back placket to make it easy to get off and on and it has a placket at the bottom of the pencil skirt. It’s not so high as to show anything, but it’s long enough to allow for easy movement and play. This dress was not binding at all.
I think my favorite part of this dress was the grey crystal buttons on the back.
There are many options with this pattern. It comes with a peplum and pencil skirt or a three tiered full skirt.
There are also directions for ruffles at the bodice or piping. I chose to fold the ruffle in half and insert it as wide flat piping. You could also keep the bodice plain or choose to showcase some lace or embroidery on the front.
I really love the versatility of this pattern. You could even make a peplum top and a separate pencil skirt if you wanted (although that’s not included in the directions)
